Venom is a fictional character that debuted in Marvel Comic’s “The Amazing Spider-Man #252”. Venom is a sentient, amorphous alien Symbiote who survives by bonding with a host body.
Venom is usually associated with Spider-Man because Marvel's web-slinging hero was Venom’s first human host. In the comics, Spiderman eventually uncovered Venom’s true, evil nature and expelled the creature from his body.
In the 2018 film, the eponymous villain occupies the body of unsuspecting journalist Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy), who develops superhuman attributes from the symbiote. Venom offers to save Brock from danger if he agrees to helps Venom’s symbiote race achieve their goal of finding a planet to possess.
Although Brock comes to enjoy the superhuman abilities Venom gives him, he must still try to save Humanity from the countless number of other, dangerous symbiotes Venom is trying to bring to Earth.
